The temple of science is a place dedicated to science in a general sense. Historically science is always practiced in various temples around the world, in search of answers for humanity.

We do not worship anything. The whole definition of worshiping means that you are adhering to something beyond your grasp.
Worshiping means you admit that you cannot find an answer, something a scientist by definition cannot do. Since science has the task of finding answers, a scientist can never leave a case before it is within our grasp. Therefore, we cannot worship anything. We can however, Honor. We can honor the people who brought us to this point in time, the people who worked, struggled, and sometimes even died in the pursuit of scientific progress.

We are not a religion. We like this Temple of Science to be a place where curious minds can meet and discuss and dream out new purpose for humanity. We need people with new dreams. Dreams big enough to lead humanity into the next phase. Will our purpose be on Mars? Under sea? Elsewhere? Science is the best way to go to find these answers to our destiny.

We do not have secret 30th level initiations. nor do we ask money to have this one secret knowledge. We do believe that science is an open process, and should be available to everyone on the planet whatever 'level' you are. As long as the scientific method is respected, everyone is welcome to join the discussion!

'it is good to be open minded, but not so open that your brains fall out'
    - Richard Dawkins

Visit the Temple of Science in Second Life ! The temple opened at 6th march 2010 with (virtual)champagne. The museum is hosting an ever growing collection of models of scientific instruments. In the auditorium, in the garden of the temple, are trainings given in different fields varying from 'New secondlife resident' class to Real-life astronomy. Some classes are free, be sure to check it out!

Visit the temple of Science Here. If you do not have a secondlife account yet, sign up here.

To see about the possibilities of science learning in secondlife, be sure to see the short video under the 'readmore' link.
